He wears knowledge like a belt,
He feeds on understanding,
Let me tell you about a man
Who is rare and worth treasuring.
He pursues righteousness and
He fights for love,
He doesn’t play foolish games,
But flies on peace like a dove.
He attacks the city of the mighty,
He pulls down the stronghold in which they trust,
He only fights the good fight,
Fighting for God, to Him, is a must.
He guards his tongue,
He doesn’t contaminate his mind,
He keeps himself from perversion and calamity,
Even when he feels he’s in a bind.
He only speaks wisdom,
He studies The Word and knows what’s true,
And when he feels like he’s distant,
He understands prayer is the glue.
He applies his heart to instruction,
And his ears to words of knowledge,
He always grips onto Elohim,
Even when he feels like he’s on the edge.
He silently demands respect,
He swings his Sword with power,
And he works for The King,
And sows seeds for a flower.
He is driven to lost souls,
So he plants seeds for salvation,
Sometimes he’s called to water,
Either way, he does it all for the Son.
He stands in confidence
He’s fearless with his Sword,
He walks in pure authority,
The only thing he fears is The Lord.
Humble is the way he walks,
He puts others before himself,
He adores people and little children,
He never puts compassion on the shelf.
He lives his life in true freedom,
He fights for complete purity,
To me, he is a hero,
My heart stops every time he looks at me.
Although this man is very rare,
And his body seems to be the biggest part,
He’s actually a big teddy bear,
And the biggest thing is his heart.
Be completely humble and gentle; be patient, bearing with one another in love. -Ephesians 4:2
This poem is based on Proverbs. I wrote this poem last year to help me be patient for the one God has for me. It encouraged me because after, I would always think, “God has me someone like this!” And someone like that is worth the wait. So be patient for this kind of man God has for you.
10 So do not fear, for I am with you; do not be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you and help you; I will uphold you with my righteous right hand. -Isaiah 41:10
This poem is for both genders! Men, if you’re reading this, take this to heart. Whatever you are lacking, whether that be courage, strength, or just a close relationship with God, let this encourage you. I put the word “sword” in this poem a couple of times. Your sword is your bible. Start using your Sword. Dig in The Word. To become this man of God, stand on The Word of God and use it for every battle you face. You have authority through Jesus Christ, and it is through that authority you can and will conquor anything. Command fear to go, shut the devil up, and stand on The Word.
5 Trust in the LORD with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; 6 in all your ways submit to him, and he will make your paths straight. -Proverbs 3:5-6
Peace and love be with you family!
